Eagles Claw Through Homestand
DUBUQUE, IA - The Eagles men's basketball team scrapped and clawed there way through two tough MCCC contest, earring a 69-65 win over Calvary University and coming up just short, 77-87 against Ozark Christian College the following day.
On Friday, the Eagles put three players into double figures and with some defensive stops and determination earned a hard fought win over the Warriors. Tyrus Bucker went for 25 points, and Nash Harper and Steven Petkau contributed 19 and 13 points respectively. With the victory the Eagles swept the regular season series over the Warriors.
Less than 24-hours later, the Eagles overcame a slow start to draw close on several occasions in the 2nd half, but came up just short of catching the Ambassadors. In Game 2 of the weekend, the Eagles had 4 in double-figures, with Luke Cerwinske joining the previous days scorers with 15 points.
