Eagles Drop Neutral-Site Contest to Conference Foe #4 Manhattan
Turnovers doom Eagles, fall to 3-4
ANKENY, Iowa, December 5, 2025 -- Emmaus University could not overcome Manhattan Christian's perimeter shooting and early offensive surge on Friday afternoon, falling 84–64 in a neutral-site matchup hosted in Ankeny. The Thunder connected on nine three-pointers and shot 44% from the field, handing the Eagles their fourth loss of the season.
The Eagles fell behind early, with the Thunder building a 46–31 halftime lead. The Eagles battled more evenly in the second half, but the Thunder maintained control with steady scoring and a 38–36 rebounding advantage.
Emmaus received balanced production across the lineup, with Nathaniel Wagner and Savion Edwards providing sparks off the bench. Wagner scored 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting, while Edwards added 11 points and six rebounds.
Colyer Wingfield anchored the inside game with a near double-double—9 points and 10 rebounds—while Eli Mackey added 9 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Freshman big man David Rothweiler continued his efficient offensive trend with 6 points on a perfect 3-for-3 from the field.
The Eagles shot 37.7% overall and 24% from beyond the arc, while also committing 22 turnovers against Manhattan Christian's defensive pressure.
