Johnson Commits to Eagles Soccer
Paul Johnson of Green Bay, WI has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Emmaus Bible College. Johnson is the fifth member of the men's soccer signing class for 2024-25.
Johnson is a 2022 graduate of Bay City Christian School, where he competed in soccer and basketball. A versatile player and athlete, Johnson featured in the attack, as well as at outside midfield and outside back during his career, while also competing with the Howard Hurricanes club program. Following high school, Johnson enrolled at Nicolet Bible Institute, and has also served at the camp ministry of Silver Birch Ranch in White Lake, WI.
"I am looking forward to Paul coming to Emmaus," shared head coach Chris McHugh. "I'm always excited about players who are 1-2 years post-high school, but then choose to come to Emmaus and play, because of the extra purpose and maturity that they bring.
"Paul's expressed real enthusiasm about joining our team this season, and so we're looking forward to working with him and seeing him grow and contribute this year!"
When asked why he chose Emmaus, Johnson shared, "I'm looking forward to playing soccer again at a college that I'm going to enjoy attending! And building new friendships and strengthening current friendships. But ultimately growing closer to God through my teammates!"
Please join us in welcoming Paul Johnson to the Emmaus Soccer family!
