Watertown, WI – The Emmaus Men's Soccer Team delivered a compelling performance in a closely contested match against Maranatha Baptist University, ending the game in a 2-2 draw.
Emmaus Bible College started strong with Jacob Davis breaking the deadlock in the 9th minute, thanks to an assist from Josh Matte. However, Maranatha quickly responded with a penalty kick goal in the 12th minute, leveling the score at 1-1. The first half continued to be a back-and-forth affair. Emmaus regained the lead just before halftime when Jake Matte scored an unassisted goal in the 40th minute, putting Emmaus ahead 2-1. Maranatha found the net just 30 seconds later, bringing the game back to an even 2-2.
The second half saw both teams battling fiercely for dominance. Emmaus displayed strong defensive efforts, with goalkeeper Tucker Kapas making several crucial saves to keep his team in the game.
