Cross County Teams Show Grit at Nationals
Men's Place 6th out of 8, Women's Finish Strong
Joplin, MO -- Friday, November 14
The Emmaus University cross country teams competed strongly at the 2025 NCCAA Cross Country Championship, demonstrating resilience and depth against a competitive field. The Men finished sixth out of 8 teams with 135 points. The Women didn't have enough runners to qualify as a team, but had a solid, gritty performance.
For the Women's 5K: Anna Coniglio led the Eagles with an 18th-place finish with a time of 22:44.5. Riley Rath followed with a solid 41st-place finish, crossing the line in 25:46.2, who was then followed by Lillian Holtan, who finished in 54th with a time of 29:53.6. (No other Eagles ran in the Women's 5K) While they may not have had any PR's or blazing times, their performance reflected strong teamwork, endurance, and strategic racing.
For the Men's 8K: The team finished in 6th with 135 points (the fewer the better), with a total time of 2:35:29. Nathan Bean led the Eagles with a 25th-place finish with a time of 30:08.2. Christian Vandekrol closely followed in 29th place (and a New PR) with a time of 30:40.2. Isaac Sauer finished in 33rd place with a time of 30:58.5. Caleb Ness (the lone Senior) finished in 36th place with a time of 31:30.2. And lastly, Daniel Schuldt brought up the rear with a time of 32:12.2, which put him in 42nd place.
The Eagles thank you for your support throughout the season!
