Bio
When did you start playing basketball?
I started playing basketball in fourth grade.
What is your favorite sports team and/or player?
My favorite player is Stephen Curry.
Highlight of your sports career?
The highlight of my sports career would have to be my junior year when my team won our first game. It was such a great accomplishment since none of the girls had ever played before, and we all worked so hard to get that one win.
What type of growth have you seen in yourself throughout your years of playing?
I feel much more confident on the court. I learned how to be a leader because many of the girls hadn't played before. Over the years, I've learned how to handle defeat with a positive attitude. My spiritual growth has really grown as well, and the Lord has really taught me patience each year. We always had some trouble finding enough girls to fill the team, but He always provided for us.
Name the individual who has impacted you the most in your playing career, and how they have influenced you.
My coach, Craig Foote, has been the person who has really impacted me and my basketball career. He always gave up his time to help me learn new moves. He would stay after practice or come in on the weekend and help me with my shooting form. He has taught me to work hard and to do everything for the glory of God.
Favorite passage of scripture and why?
My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. It gives me comfort knowing that God has a plan for my life, and it is going to be greater than anything I could ever imagine

We have enough talent this year to do something that hasn't been in 20 years but it is up to us on whether or not we want to pursue it. From an eternal perspective, it's not about wins and losses, it's about the relationships you establish with one another. It's about how you use the gifts God has given you to grow closer to him and further the kingdom, for that is eternal. If the Lord grants us success, then we use our platform to preach Christ and show just how powerful unity in Him is in fulfilling His will. If we all buy into this vision, plant our crops and pray for rain, we will do great things this year.
On Friday, February 12, the Lady Eagles took the court against the Lady Saints of Central Christian College. The first quarter was all Emmaus, scoring 24 points and forcing four turnovers.
On Thursday, January 28, the Emmaus Lady Eagles took on the Moody Bible Institute Archers. This game is the second meeting between these two opponents this season, but this time it was on the home court. In the first quarter the Archers came to play and competed back and forth with the Lady Eagles. The game was tied at the end of the first quarter, but Emmaus would rally.
The Lady Eagles finished up their Missouri road trip with a match up against the Manhattan Christian College Thunder on Saturday, Januray 6. The Lady Eagles struggled to put ball in the basket in the first half. Whenever Emmaus tried to string a few baskets together, the Thunder would answer. The play of Shelby Hembera was instrumental in the Eagles' success on the court.
It was a chilly Monday night as the Lady Eagles hosted the Faith Baptist Eagles. The Eagles came off running and scored 21 points in the first quarter.
The Emmaus Lady Eagles squared off against Central Christian College of the Bible on Friday, January 22. The Eagles came out running and scoring multiple transition points.
On Monday, January 25 the Lady Eagles took on the UW-Richland Roadrunners. The first quarter proved to be very competitive. Both the Lady Eagles and Roadrunners were going to their post players early and having success.
On Tuesday, January 19, the Lady Eagles traveled to play the Moody Bible Institute Archers.
Coming off of an away game on Friday night, the Lady Eagles were back in action Saturday, January 16. The Lady Eagles took on the Ozark Ambassadors of Joplin, MO. From the very first few minutes into the game, it looked like the game would turn into a battle that would come down to every possession.
The Emmaus Lady Eagles took the court against the Grace Bible College Tigers for the second time this week on Saturday January 9th. This game, like the one previously, was a battle. The Lady Eagles were within a few points the whole first and second quarter. At half time the Lady Eagles went into the locker room all tied up at thirty one.
On Thursday January 7th our Emmaus Lady Eagles took the court against the Grace Bible College Tigers. This was the Lady Eagles first game back from the long holiday break. The game was one that was full of shaking off the rust of not playing competitively in weeks.
On Friday December 4 our Emmaus Lady Eagles basketball team took on Rhema Bible College of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This game proved to be heavy on the guard play as both Rhema and Emmaus seem to be light in the post position.
On Tuesday night, the Lady Eagles of Emmaus Bible College squared off against conference rivals Faith Baptist in a much anticipated game.
After celebrating a big win, adversity would challenge this young Lady Eagles team.
On Friday, November 13 the Lady Eagles of Emmaus Bible College took on AFLBS of Plymouth, MN. This is the first ACCA conference game for Emmaus and it would give a glimpse into how much the Lady Eagles have improved from the previous season.
The game started off with a score of 10 to 24 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Lady Eagles looked a bit shell-shocked at the beginning, playing tentative and shy as Trinity International struck first.
The 2015-2016 season began with a good showing by our Lady Eagles Basketball team. With 5 sophomores and 6 freshmen, establishing chemistry and working out the early season kinks was the main priority in the game against the Roadrunners of UW-Richland.
