Texas Guard Joins Eagles Women's Basketball
Head Women's Basketball Coach Cody Cunard is excited to announce the recent signing of Aubry Silva to the Eagles women's basketball program. Silva, a 5'6" guard from Stanton, Texas, officially signed her letter of intent and will join the team for the 2025-26 season.
A standout at Stanton High School, where she played for the Buffaloes, Aubry made a name for herself as a player and leader. Throughout her high school career, she earned numerous honors, including being named Defensive MVP her senior year, a two-time All-Tournament Team selection at the Pinky Jones Classic, and a selection to the prestigious West Texas All-Star team. During her junior year, she was recognized as a two-time Player of the Game and received the Most Valuable Offensive Player award.
Aubry plans to study Psychology at Emmaus. When asked why she chose Emmaus, she shared, "I went there for a day to meet the basketball team, and I loved it so much. It was a perfect fit coming from a small town to a small college. I loved the basketball team—they were so friendly and nice."
Looking ahead to her time at Emmaus, Aubry is eager to start building relationships on and off the court. "I am looking forward to playing basketball with my teammates and making friendships while I am there," she said.
Beyond basketball, Aubry has a heart for service, volunteering with her local church, helping with community Easter events, and assisting during Stanton's local trade days.
"We are super excited to be adding Aubry to the team next fall!" Noted Coach Cunard. "With great athleticism, Aubry will make an instant impact on both ends of the floor. She is relentless on defense, using her length to disrupt offenses. On the offensive side of the ball she has good 3 point range and the ability to create off the dribble."
