Emmaus Splits Weekend Series at Home
Dubuque, Iowa — The Emmaus Eagles delivered a dominant performance on Friday night against Maranatha before facing a loss Saturday afternoon to Ozark Christian.
January 31, 2025 – Emmaus 62, Maranatha 31
Emmaus put together a complete team effort, led by Rachel Barrett's 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Erin McKenna filled the stat sheet with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals, while Kate Janzen notched a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The Eagles controlled the game defensively, forcing 16 turnovers and recording 14 steals. They dominated the boards with a 42-23 rebounding edge and held Maranatha to just 31 points.
February 1, 2025 – Emmaus 50, Ozark Christian 74
Less than 24 hours later, Emmaus returned to the court but couldn't maintain Friday's momentum. McKenna again led the Eagles with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Nellie Hopkins contributed 10 points, and Madeline Wiest added 9, each hitting three-point shots to keep the offense alive. Emmaus shot 42.9% (6-14) from beyond the arc!
