The Emmaus University Eagles Women's Basketball Team fell to the #1 Ranked/seeded Champion Christian College 80-65 in the Quarterfinals at the NCCAA DII National Tournament.
The game was close all night long as the Champion Tigers were only up by 5 (24-19) after the 1st quarter, up by 7 at halftime (49-42), and only up by 8 after the third quarter (63-55), with the Tigers eventually pulling away.
The Eagles shot 41.5% from the field, 35.3% from beyond the arc, and 83.3% from the foul line, all very solid numbers! They also out-rebounded the Tigers 39-28!
Rachel Barrett led the way with 20 points and 13 rebounds, Erin McKenna followed with 18 points and 8 rebounds, Marina Keck had 7 points and 9 rebounds, Amelia Mackey and Aubry Silva had solid contributions with 11 points and 9 points respectively!
