Multiple Runners Qualify for Nationals at Regional Race
The Emmaus University cross country teams turned in strong performances on Friday afternoon as they hosted the 2025 NCCAA Super Regional Meet at the Dubuque Soccer Complex. The men's team earned a third-place finish in a tightly contested field, while the women continued to show steady improvement.
On a crisp, sunny afternoon, the Eagle men posted a total team time of 2:37:30, finishing with 82 points and an average pace of 31:30 over the 8K course. Freshman Nathan Bean led the way for Emmaus, placing 15th overall with a time of 30:45.8. He was closely followed by Caleb Ness (30:59.0), Isaac Sauer (31:18.9), Christian VanderKrol (31:23.8), and Daniel Schuldt (33:02.3), as the top five Emmaus runners finished within just over two minutes of each other.
In the women's 5K, Anna Coniglio led the charge for Emmaus, finishing in 21:57.3, followed by Riley Rath (23:20.8) and Lillian Holtan (24:10.9) both of whom qualified for the NCCAA Cross Country Championship. Though the women did not record a full team score, their performances reflected the steady progress the Eagles have made throughout the season
