Homecoming Sweep for the Eagles
The Emmaus University women's volleyball team got back in the win column on Friday night, sweeping Maranatha Baptist in straight sets (25–21, 25–13, 25–17). The victory moves the Eagles to 3-8 on the season and 2-0 in region play.
Senior outside hitter Kaitlin Rahn paced the offense with 12 kills, 12 digs, and 2 aces, finishing with a team-high 14.5 points. She was joined by Selah Gregory, who contributed 10 kills on efficient swings, and Alice Green, who added 5 kills off the bench.
Setter Michelle Striley orchestrated the attack with 30 assists while also adding 12 digs, notching a double-double in the win. In the back row, libero Jennika Beach anchored the defense with 12 digs and chipped in 3 service aces.
Emmaus totaled 40 kills, 52 digs, and 7 service aces on the night, while holding Maranatha to a negative hitting percentage (-.020) across the three sets.
The Eagles have a big week coming up with 3 road matches and 2 conference games. They start their road trip at Ozark Christian on Friday at 7:00 before competing in a tri-match on saturday at Calvary. Emmaus plays the host team #5 Calvary at 11:00 am, then sees Spurgeon again at 1:00.
